Yay, I finished the baby bonnet yesterday!! After the lace border I did the rest of it in garter stitch. Then, after I sewed it together I picked up stitches along the bottom edge. I did an eyelet row so I can weave a ribbon tie through it. I am really pleased with it. It's also nice to be able to ignore the pattern and do it the way I want to and have it turn out. Ah yes grasshopper, you are becoming a real knitter. snort. I will post a picture after it comes out of the wash.
