Here are Henry's new Christmas pjs. I bought a yard of the red and white checked flannel fabric (it has little embroidered gingerbread men all over it) from JoAnns, not really knowing what I was going to do with it. Of course when I decided to make the pjs I didn't have enough fabric so I had to use the red flannel from my stash for the sleeves. Now I really like it and I think it looks better than if I had used the print for the sleeves as well. I used a commerical pattern and just made a few changes. It's a gown style, but the pattern called for a drawstring at the bottom. I used elastic (hurrah for easy diaper changes)! I also left off the hood and sewed on a facing instead, didn't using interfacing, and I had to shorten the sleeves. Anyway, they kept Henry nice and warm last night and he likes scratching the little gingerbread men. :)

Oh how adorable!! Love the fabrics - love how it came out with the red sleeves - AND HENRY IS SO DARN CUTE!!

now I feel bad by cheating and not only for buying my 8 month old's stocking instead of knitting her one, but buying her christmas sleeper too!
