I'll buy them when they're part of an interchangeable circular needle set...'til then, yeah, I think the'r cool, but not yet useful to me...
 

I bought some of these last week for a fun gift, but I didn't realize they were $15.95 (Michaels). When I saw the price, I returned them. The batteries were around $3 for 2 and you need 3 per needle. They'd be fun to use in dimly lit areas though.
