Random stuff

The knitting of Rogue is done! I am so happy. Sleeve #1 was blocked previously and sleeve #2 is drying/blocking right now. One problem--I don't have anywhere to block the body and hood at the moment! Oh well, I guess that will have to wait until next week. Then I can sew it up and mail it to my sister. Maybe she can still wear it a few times before it gets too warm (she lives in northern Washington state).

I'm going on a mini-knitting retreat this weekend! Everyone else is going today through Monday. I had a bunch of doctor stuff this week so I'm not going until Saturday morning. It will still be great, I can guarantee. Great friends + knitting + beautiful ranch house in northern California. Yeah.

I can feel the baby moving around. I cannot even put into words how happy this makes me. This morning he 'woke up' shortly after I had breakfast. Amazing.

I am switching back and forth between knitting the sockapalooza socks, the esprit baby hat, and the final sleeve of Rogue. I noticed that I hold the esprit rather tight (stretched) while knitting, which bothers my hands somewhat. Luckily, there's no rush to finish that one (of course, I do want to make some matching baby socks and I did just order more colors from elann. oops).

I've been dying to do some sewing so yesterday I finally dug out my sewing machine (ahem, we still aren't totally unpacked) and made this (note: it's tiny)!

Sorry for the lack of posting. I've been working, I've been tired, and we're still trying to get settled into our new place. But I think the main reason for my lack of posting is the ridiculous 28.8K dial-up connection we have here. Never fear, we should have DSL in a few days.

I've had the past few days off from work (we're in-between projects) so I've actually been doing some knitting. I finished one book project and started another (for those keeping track, I have 3 book projects due by March 1st). I picked up Rogue again and this morning I finally finished the *@&%^ hood! That sucker takes forever, but it looks cool. Just one sleeve left to knit.

In baby news, things are going well and last week we found out that we're having a BOY! Yes, I will admit to ordering some random blue yarn from elann.
